Introduction: 1. I believe in the Forgiveness of Sins a. Through Jesus everyone can experience forgiveness of sins b. God forgives according to the riches of His grace c. More than just forgiveness, we are justified and seen as righteous. 2. I believe in the Resurrection of the Body a. Death does not have the last word b. Our Resurrected Body will be different - Belief in the Forgiveness of sins must lead us to live a life of freedom from sin, knowing that we have the Spirit of God empowering us against sin and temptations. - Belief in the Resurrection of the body must lead us to live a life of hope, knowing that we will have a perfect, glorified body, just like Jesus.

Main idea: Jesus is coming again; we need to be prepared. Introduction Jesus will come again • It is a promise in the Bible • Jesus will reign as King forever • Satan and his army will be thrown into eternal fire (Rev 11:18; 20:10) He will judge the living and the dead Reflections / Application: - Are you longing for Jesus’ return? Why? - How would I live differently knowing that Jesus will judge the living and the dead.

Matthew 27:24-36 Main idea : Understanding the authenticity and significance of Jesus dying on the cross shapes our Christian living 1) Suffered under Pontius Pilate – Depravity of Sin 2) Crucified and Dead – Dying for Sin 3) Buried in a Tomb : Dying to Sin Reflection Question Consider Christ and the Cross, how does that put your own experience of difficulty and despair into perspective? What sins has God convicted you to put to death today?

Main Idea: The union of Jesus’ divine and human natures shows us how to live an obedient life with God’s kingdom in mind. 1. Jesus, as a human being, lived an obedient life according to the Father’s will. 2. Jesus, as a divine being, revealed the reality of God’s kingdom. Reflection questions: - Are you struggling with something God has asked you to do? What simple steps can you take to overcome your struggles and be obedient to Him? - How are the values of God’s Kingdom evident in your life today?

Main Idea: It is in knowing who we believe that we find strength for each day. Introduction 1. What does it mean to “believe In God” 2. What does it mean to “believe In God the Father”? 3. What does it mean to “believe In God the Almighty”? 4. What does it mean to “believe In God the Maker of Heaven and Earth”? Application: - As you confess faith in God, how will you set your life, mind and heart towards obedience to Him? - Is there an area in your life today where you need God’s strength and power? Commit the area in prayer and believe that God is able, and God is good. - Is there an area where you struggle to believe in God? Find someone to share and pray with.
