    Main idea: Jesus has the power to deliver us from the bondages of our lives, even the power of evil. Introduction 1. Jesus came to seek and save all those in bondage (vv 1 -13) 2. Not all want to be saved by Jesus (vv 14 – 17) 3. The response of the man who was set free (vv18 -20) Reflections / Application: - Take note of anything that has power over you to control you. Bring them to Jesus. - Recall what Jesus had done for you, be prepared to share it.

    The Authority to Forgive

    Mark 2:1-12

    Main Idea: Have faith in Jesus, who has the authority to forgive the sins that paralyse our relationship with Him. 1. Faith that leads others to experience Jesus’ forgiveness (vv1-6) 2. Barriers to believing in Jesus’ authority (vv7-8) 3. The Son of Man has authority to forgive sins (vv9-12) Application: - Reach out to those who may be “paralysed” in their faith; bring them to Jesus through prayer or visitation. - Confess your sins to God and a trusted spiritual friend, trust that Jesus has the authority to forgive your sin.
