Take some time to pray and reflect on what you have learnt from the mothers in your life. 2. What is one thing you can do for them this week to encourage and appreciate them?

Introduction 1. Life under the sun is meaningless - The definition of “vanity” (v2) - Same old same old (vv5-8) - No one is remembered; nothing is new (vv8-10) - Death will erase life 2. Life under the Son brings abundant life - God in Ecclesiastes - The Hope of Easter

Main Point: Jesus’ resurrection points towards our resurrection in the body. Introduction 1. Jesus’ resurrection in the body is a historical fact based on eye-witnesses’ accounts (vv5-8) 2. Jesus’ resurrection points towards our resurrection in the body. - Jesus’ resurrection is the “firstfruits” of bodily resurrection (vv20-22). - Death is dead (vv54-55). 3. The characteristics of our resurrected body (vv42-44). - “Imperishable” - “In glory” - “raised in power” - “raised a spiritual body” Application: Our work for the Lord is not in vain (v58). Reflection: – Since the resurrection is true, what’s stopping you from trusting Jesus? – Do you have a great longing for the future resurrection? Why or why not? – What would “be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord,” look like in your life?

Main Point: The reality of eternal judgment calls us to live generously and share the Good News. 1. The Story - The contrast in earthly life. - the common denominator – Death. - The reversal in the afterlife. 2. Live Generously 3. The Unbridged Chasm in the Afterlife - God’s Word is sufficient to respond to the gospel now - Share the Gospel - The chasm can never be crossed. - One must hear the word to be saved. Reflection: – Which aspect of the afterlife conversation (Luke 16:19-31) stands out to you? – How can I live more generously today?

Main Idea: To be responsible to server our Master with the Talent(s) entrusted to us. 1. The Good and Faithful Servant 2. The Wicked and Lazy Servant 3. The Entrusting and Accountable Master Discussion Questions: Find somebody you can trust and discuss the following questions: 1. What talent(s) do you have? 2. What were some opportunities that you missed in serving God? 3. Discuss and keep each other accountable on how you might repent from laziness today.

1. The Groom is Returning. 2. Ready the Bridesmaids! 3. Let’s Get Ready! Reflection – How are you getting ready for Christ’s return? – Pray and ask God to help you get ready.

Main Point: To be ready for Christ’s return is to be a faithful and wise steward 1. Christ will come again (24:44) - John 14:3; Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16; Hebrews 9:28 - Romans 8:19-23; Revelations 21:20 2. We do not know when Christ will return (24:36) 3. We can be ready for Christ’s return - Living faithfully and wisely (1 Peter 4:7) - Serving the Lord with our gifts and talent (1 Peter 4:8-11) Reflection: - Are you ready for Christ’s return today? What situations or areas in life would you want to put in order before he returns. - What does it look like to live as a faithful and wise steward while we await Christ’s return?
