    Main Idea: The Word of God determines the condition of our hearts. 1. We are attracted by external qualities. 2. God is concerned with the internal qualities. 3. The Word of God directs our hearts. Reflection: 1. What external qualities (e.g., grades, achievements, etc) are you more concerned with than the condition of your heart? 2. What are the practices that you can put in place to be reminded by God’s words in your daily lives?

    Ordinary to Extraordinary

    Main Point: God uses the ordinary affairs of life to bring forth His extraordinary purpose in our lives. 1. God uses the ordinary for extraordinary purposes. - Saul – good looking but with an unimpressive background - A mundane job 2. God may use obstructions and delays to direct us to His will. 3. God will provide the resources and encouragement along the way. - An unlikely companion - A miraculous providence 4. Practising the Presence of God Reflection: - Looking back at your life, are there any situations you think of as coincidence but were God’s providence? - What’s one step you can take to be attentive to God’s presence in your day today?
